Mental health illnesses and mental health disorders are a debilitating group of diseases: ranging from mood disorders such as depression to anxiety disorders and can include psychotic illnesses. Their management includes medications, but more recently therapies have been shown to be effective. This forum will include self help groups, treatments and other coping strategies and attempt to reduce the stigma attached to mental health.

The forum will discuss panic attack treatment, stress anxiety managment through counselling, cognitive behavioural therapy and can also include such help as PTSD support groups and OCD disorder therapies and can include anorexia and other eating disorders.

Sadness and lack of energy can be symptoms of depression, however depression is grouped into many types: reactive depression, acute clinical depression and can lead to suicidal feelings. Beating depression can be by natural remedies - St Johns Wort depression or other medications such as citalopram. Personality disorders are categorised into groups such as anti-social, borderline, schizoid, anxiety etc. These disorders characterised by long term persistant features are difficult to treat with many social factors in personality disorders being identified. Long term solutions require the individual to be motivated to change and require social/educational/talking solutions rather than medication.
