What is ADHD? - attention deficit hyperactivity disorder - ADHD symptoms include hyperactivity and impulsivity which makes a child find it hard to concentrate and learn skills. Treatment has included amphetamine type medication eg Ritilin, Concerta XL but also behaviour modification programmes and other educational interventions. Natural alternatives have included ADHD and fish oil treatment, although the evidence is sparce.

Recent contraversies over the MMR has reduced the uptake of the vaccine - this has lead to a recent increase in mumps and measles. Immunisation programmes should include meningitis information, polio, diptheria, tetanus, whooping cough and haemophilus influenza, pneumonia and now cervical cancer
